A year after the end of the war with the Enemy and the beginning of the new life on the ISS Amazonas of Captain Edward Wakeman and Chief Medical Officer Taylor Black, strange incidents begin to occur on the ship, which apparently do not constitute a major problem. After a while, however, the crew of the giant spaceship realizes that they are threatened by a dark danger but have no useful tools to defend themselves. Meanwhile, Wakeman is tempted by revolutionary technology, and Black must solve a truly mysterious medical case.
